Harrisburg school evacuated after bomb threat: police

A Tuesday greeting weaponry menace caused a Harrisburg metropolis schoolhouse to evacuate, authorities said.

Someone called the Capital Academy schoolhouse astir 7 a.m. and said a weaponry would detonate astir 9 a.m., according to Harrisburg spokesperson Matt Maisel. The schoolhouse called 911 astir 7:30 a.m. and reported the threat.

The schoolhouse was evacuated, and students and unit sheltered successful the gym astatine the Downey School.

Harrisburg police, K-9s and the Dauphin County Sheriff’s Department began a search. However, nary explosive devices were found, Maisel said.
